Why FLO deals with Juices?

Most of the small-scale farmers would not exist if they could not sell to the Fairtrade market. The amounts of their fruit is often so small that they have to rent capacity of processing plants in order to transform their fruit to concentrate.

FLO guarantees the producers a guaranteed minimum price, so that in times of fluctuations in juice prices the cost of production and their living expenses are covered.

The FT minimum price guarantees the producers a better deal. The additional premium is paid to allow producers to invest in their own future.
