Vanilla Beans

Organic Vanilla Beans from Alor, Indonesia. They are wild harvested as well as sustainably planted amongst other hillside crops to encourage biodiversity. Grown at an ideal altitude in our equatorial climate, the young plants flower after 3 years, while hand pollination takes place usually within 12 hours of blooming. The succulent and plump fruits (or pods) of the vanilla vines are then harvested when fully mature and ripen until around 9 months after harvest.
