This report includes 2022 monitoring data for the Latin America and Caribbean region, as well as results of producer surveys.

Producer organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean make up about half of all Fairtrade certified organizations worldwide: by the end of 2022, there were 928 Fairtrade producer organizations in 21 countries throughout the region. More than 340,000 farmers and workers in the region make up about 16% of the global total in the Fairtrade system.

Producers in the region earned €139.4 million in Fairtrade Premium in 2022 to spend on projects of their choice. Coffee is the highest selling Fairtrade product in the region making up 60% of all Fairtrade Premium earned, followed by bananas (25%), cocoa (6%), cane sugar (5%), and fresh fruits (2%).
