Monitoring the scope and benefits of Fairtrade: Asia Pacific region - Monitoring report, 13th Edition

This report includes 2020 monitoring data for the Asia Pacific region, as well as results of producer surveys. Producer organizations in Asia Pacific make up about 16% of all Fairtrade certified organizations worldwide: by the end of 2020, there were 303 Fairtrade producer organizations in 21 countries throughout the region. More than 242,000 farmers and workers in the region make up about 12 percent of the global total in the Fairtrade system. Producers in the region earned €14.4 million in Fairtrade Premium in 2020 to spend on projects of their choice. Coffee, tea and cotton are the highest selling Fairtrade products in the region, followed by fresh fruit, rice, and oilseeds.
