Join us for a webinar to explore the results of Fairtrade International's work in calculating Living Income Reference Prices (LIRPs) for organic basmati rice from Northern India and organic jasmine rice from Thailand. During the session, we will dive into how these reference prices were calculated, share key findings, and answer your questions.

Fairtrade has developed a holistic price discovery model for establishing LIRPs, which constitutes an integral part of our Living Income Strategy. A LIRP indicates the price needed for a full-time farmer with a viable crop area and a sustainable productivity level necessary to earn a living income. The model is derived from the universal human right for everyone who works to receive a just and  favourable remuneration, ensuring an existence worthy of human dignity.

This project was funded by Coop Switzerland and supported by Fairtrade Max Havelaar and the Fairtrade Network of Asia and Pacific Producers (NAPP). It marks a significant step in our commitment to enabling living incomes for producers.
