With just a few weeks to go until nominations close, there’s still time for Fairtrade farmers, workers, traders and supporters to enter the prestigious International Fairtrade Awards 2020!

With four categories to choose from - Small Producer Organisation of the Year, Hired Labour Organisation of the Year, Trader of the Year and Campaign of the Year - there’s an award for everyone involved in the Fairtrade family.

We’re looking to showcase great examples of innovation, creativity and empowerment throughout Fairtrade supply chains. The winners will be invited to join the glittering Fairtrade Awards 2020 ceremony on March 25 next year, and the top three in each category will benefit from having their work and products promoted to an international audience.

But don’t take our word for it - this is what some former award winners have to say!

“The award means a lot for us. It gives us an opportunity to work hard and improve other things even more than this so we can retain this award in the coming years!”

  • Austin Changazi, General Manager of Sukambizi Fairtrade tea producers in Malawi.
  • Manuel Alberto, President of COCAFCAL, a Fairtrade coffee co-op in Honduras
  • Bernard Ranaweera from the Small Organic Farmers Association (SOFA), Sri Lanka
  • Bujimon Kurian, from Kerala in India

“The Fairtrade Award shows that our hard work is being appreciated. We’re very proud of this achievement!”

“This award is not only for our members; it is for the development of the whole community in our areas. It’s an award for our people.”

“I have been working for Fairtrade for many years now with a passion. Until eight years ago we had little, but now with Fairtrade we are getting best prices and the Premium, and we are investing in the community.”

Nominations close on December 15, so don’t delay and go to our awards page for more details about the categories and how to enter. Want to know more? Email awards@fairtrade.net
